vsFtpd problem with symlinks

Hi!

I have the following problem with vsftpd.

I enter a symlink (being user or anonymous). when I cd \.. it brings me to the parent directory of the target, that is, not from where I came.

Example
suppose this is the symlink:
\~user\somewhere => \usr\share\public

cd somewhere
cd ..
pwd is now = \usr\share (and not \~user)

Is this a bug or a configuration issue...
