I'm using xorg-7.0 rc3 split builds and trying to get tightvnc-1.3_alpha7 to install. I installed the gccmakedep and xmkmf split builds manually after discovering that tightvnc needs these (since the deps for many apps haven't been updated to match the brand new split builds). However I am stuck here:
/root# emerge -av tightvnc
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[blocks B ] x11-libs/libXft (is blocking x11-base/xorg-x11-6.8.2-r6)
[ebuild UD] x11-base/xorg-x11-6.8.2-r6 [7.0.0_rc3] -3dfx -3dnow +bitmap-fonts -cjk -debug -dlloader -dmx -doc -font-server -insecure-drivers +ipv6 -minimal +mmx +nls -nocxx +opengl +pam -sdk +sse -static +truetype-fonts +type1-fonts (-uclibc) -xprint +xv 0 kB
[ebuild N ] virtual/x11-6.8 0 kB
[ebuild R ] net-misc/tightvnc-1.3_alpha7 +java +server +tcpd 0 kB

!!! Error: The above package list contains packages which cannot be installed
!!! on the same system.
How can I install tightvnc with xorg 7.0 rc3? |
