I just did a fresh install and yes I know I've asked a lot of questions today but that's because I'm having so many problems. I have mplayer installed and netscape-plugger but when I went to check out this link http://www.gorillaz.com/screen.php?p=1&q=2&id=dirtyharry I got nothing. I haven't checked it in Mandriva (my other distro) but I assume it works because it was posted on a mandrake/mandriva forum. Is there something I'm missing or is my luck just really bad?!!!!

should mplayer and netscape-plugger work? i have "mplayerplug-in" installed also, always assumed there was a additional package necessary for getting mplayer to work with mozilla as plugin. _________________ please, feel free to correct my english. - por favor, corrige mi español. |

I think the linked url contains a wmv file, so you need win32codecs in your use-flags.

I re-emerged mplayer with win32codecs as a use flag and installed mplayerplug-in. Still no luck. |

I found out this is an opera problem and it works in mozilla-firefox. In gentoo I've never had to do anything to add plugins in opera except emerge them. Obviously something has changed so I've posted on the opera forum to see if I can resolve this. Thanks guys. |
