hi there...i would like to mount my usb flash disk in Gentoo...what do i have to do to achieve that?? what modules must be compiled with the kernel?? and am i going to mount it with "mount" or do i need some other packages aswell??

Once you've got USB support working, you might want to use ivman to mount your flash drive for you.
Have a quick look at http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_ivman to get you started. If you're using GNOME, you might want to emerge gnome-volume-manager too, which can put icons on the desktop as the disk is mounted. I'm sure KDE has an equivalent. If this works, you won't need to mount the disk from the command line.
