The livecd isn't booting, it fails with
UDF-fs: No partition found (1)
XFS: bad magic number
XFS: SB validation failed
Kernel Panic VFS Not syncing: Unable to mount unknown-block(1,0)
Hardware is:
Asus A8N-SLI
GForce 7800GTX
2 x samsung SATA drives
Phillips DVDR16LSK
1Gb ram
I tried knoppix and it works (although i can't use it, because i need dmraid working so that i can install gentoo in the fakeraid array alongside windows)

Is there another CD- or DVD-ROM drive present and is there a disc inserted into it?
Make sure to remove all other discs from CD-Drives and remove all other removable media. That fixed the starting problems for me. |

Nope, thing else connected.
Actually to be more precise, my storage device are connected the following way
2 SATA connected as RAID,
1 IDE hard drive connected to one of the ATA ports
1 DVD connected to the other ATA port |

I know it could be a dumb question, but did you make a md5sum do the iso before you burn it ?? (if you haven't tried before) _________________ Do It With Rhythm |
