I am having this same problem https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-405144-highlight-xscreensaver+error.html I see that it has been solved by changing the xscreensaver.eap file to include 2> /dev/null but I do not have an xscreensaver.eap file....what can I do to solve this? _________________ So many questions so little time....

for anyone that is interested that has the same problem I believe the following has solved it

Same as setting the captureStderr resource to false: do not redirect the stdout and stderr streams to the xscreensaver window itself. If xscreensaver is crashing, you might need to do this in order to see the error message. |
