|
|
Hello
I'm a newbie on the linux scene and yesterday i started to install gentoo 2005.1. I did a stage 3 install, and got as far as compiling my kernel and copying it to my boot directory (suppose to start at 7e in the handbook). Then my screen went down when i closed the lid on it (it's a latitude x1) and it did not go up again when i opened it.
So my question is, how do i go back to where i was in the installation process?
I guess boot with the cd again, but then what? |

Boot with the cd mount your drives like you did during the installation and then chroot like in the installation.
Mounting: 4e in handbook
Chrooting: 6a in handbook |

mount your partitions again when the livecd starts and then as you did before. Then just run
Code: | env-update
source /etc/profile |
Then continue where you left off |
