Hi everyone!
Currently I am coding a program in java with odbc in windows but I'd like to code in gentoo, which leads me to Mysql,
And I would like to code both in gentoo and windows, espacially for testing purposes, so how can I have acces to my database from within both OS's.
Thanks. _________________ "Any fool can write code that a computer can understand. Good programmers write code that humans can understand." --- Martin Fowler,

Coding a program in java with odbc instead of jdbc seems strange to me. Why don't you use jdbc on both redmond and gentoo and sort of hide your database behind it?
Alternatively, you could setup a standalone database server and program on the client box which will be accessing the server. _________________ 42 |
