IMQ is not part of the vanilla kernel; and gentoo-sources are not THAT far away from plain vanilla. So it doesn't have IMQ support. I do not know if any of the other kernels available in Gentoo come with IMQ support. After all, hardly anyone uses it, since you need this only under very special circumstances. And even if a kernel came with IMQ, it would probably include a whole load of other patches that I don't need nor want; so I think I'd actually prefer to just patch the kernel myself. That's the easiest way to go, as you can just download the patch from www.linuximq.net |
