# emerge vim

>>> emerge (1 of 2) app-editors/vim-core-6.1-r4 to /
>>> md5 vim-6.1.tar.bz2

>>> md5 vim-6.1-gentoo-patches.tar.bz2

the log says: "no file to patch" with every patch-entry...
i also tried to set -gtk and -gtk2 in USE... but doesn't matter like emerge -vp vim vim-core shows...
any suggestions ? can i prevent emerge trying to install the patch ?

This was the VERY first package I tried to emerge on my first gentoo setup... Unfortunately I get the same errors as above? I am guessing it isn't my setup but a "ebuild" problem?
Why would GTK2 be needed for VIM??? Wouldn't it be needed on GVIM but not VIM |
