I just installed gentoo yesterday and all works fine in gentoo, but when i boot into windows xp i get an error which says "cable not plugged into netcard"
i use the skge drivers for my netcard.
anyone have an idea what's going on?

and now the problem solved itself.
the netcard is working now.
I have no idea how or what went wrong/right |

ok here's what i think was wrong.
somehow when linux shut down the netcard it shuts it all off, so windows cant start it properly.
my fix:
boot the gentoo cd and shut down your computer at the prompt. no reboot or shutdown -h now, just plain off switch.
that worked for me. |
