For some reason, i am unable to burn DVD's. It always worked fine, but not anymore.
Quote: | $ growisofs -dvd-compat -overburn -Z /dev/dvd=One-Eight-Seven.img
Executing 'builtin_dd if=One-Eight-Seven.img of=/dev/dvd obs=32k seek=0'

I tried various speed settings, from one, all the way up to twelve (the drive's max speed), but it keeps giving me that errormessage. I looked around google, the known (and lesser known) newsgroups, searched here, but i haven't found a solution to the problem.
I have no idea what could be the problem. All necessary hardware support is compiled into the kernel (with modules disabled), and it has worked fine with the current configuration for weeks. The only thing i did was a --deep --update of the world file.
I remember a similar problem a year back, when i still used Mandrake ( ) and k3b for burning. I could set the speed to 'Ignore' and it would burn fine. However, i can't find an option for that in growisofs' man-page. (I've tried things like ignore and auto, but it refuses that).
So i'm at a loss here. Does anyone know a solution for this? |
