Hi, i have a DLink DGE-528T network adaptor, but i need to add it to my kernel?. Some help on how to build your own kernel? |

How does it appear in lspci ? This will usually give you some info about which chipset is used on it. |

Well i looked at the nic and as fare as i can it is called DLG1008. I have not installed it on my gentoo machine yet, but tried a few weeks ago. With no luck, since the normal gentoo kernel doesn't support that dlink chipset. |

Why not install the new DLink alongside your existing NIC, boot off a recent liveCD (heck maybe even a knoppix one) and see if it handles it? _________________ Read 'Free Software - Free Society' by RM Stallman |
