Looks like xine breaks by upgraded from 0.5.1-r1 to 0.5.2. Currently using the latest ~x86 xine-lib (1.1.1-r3). Xine now refuses to start (times out) with the new 0.5.2 ebuild. I see no dmesg errors to report unfort.
So, as it stands I was able to restore things by downgraded back to gxine 0.5.1-r1.
Just an FYI, I did try re-emerging xine-lib at the time to see if it would resolve the problem without success. Anyone elce experiencing this?

Same here, just trying gtk+ re-emerge - I noticed there were a couple of strange looking xml files during the etc-update..? Still fails.. back to 0.5.1-r1 for now.

Edit - have submitted a bug report 116264 "Fixed in 0.5.2-r1"
Emerged 0.5.2-r1 and it works fine
