I'm getting this error when i.e trying to play the X3 trailer in apple.com/trailers. I'm also getting the same error on two other computers with some what same program versions of those 3.

Code:

/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/firefox-bin: symbol lookup error: /opt/netscape/plugins/mplayerplug-in-qt.so: undefined symbol: _Z11srcToButtonPcP16nsPluginInstance
firefox-bin exited with non-zero status (127)

I'm running:
mozilla-firefox-1.5-r3
mplayer-1.0_pre7-r1
mplayerplug-in-3.15

Hi,

I am running:

www-client/mozilla-firefox-1.0.7-r4
media-video/mplayer-1.0.20060217
net-www/mplayerplug-in-2.80
gentoo2.6.15r1

I just tried to watch some of the Trailers from the apple movie site. I just recive a smal white field inside the firefox window.

Is this problem linked with the problem from this threat? what can I do?

Thanks

Code:

I get many of these:

(Gecko:12776): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_progress_set_percentage: assertion `percentage >= 0 && percentage <= 1.0' failed

It would be helpful if you post something about your systems.

E.G., if you're running 64-bit, you can't play clips that depend on win32codecs with 64 bit Firefox, mplayers, etc. You have to use mozilla-firefox-bin, mplayer-bin, mplayerplug-in-bin, and win32codecs which are the 32-bit binary releases.

Thanks for asking. Well, I already listed the operative software (I think). The hardware is as follows:

AMD Athlon XP 2400+
Asus A7N8X-X mb
gig of ddr ram
Gentoo on 20 gig partition 41% in use
FX5200 128 meg video card using Nvidia driver

Video seems to get hosed every now and them incident to an "emerge -uD world"

Here are my USE flags: dvd dvdr cdr usb ppds gimpprint gimp scanner mozilla win32codecs mplayer xine real aac a52 avi dvdread divx4linux dv encode fame nvidia mpeg ogg quicktime subtitles vorbins xvid

Using KDE 3.4.3

Hopefully standing by.

I can play a lot of trailers from the Apple site, but the X3 one doesn't fly. Could be that there's an issue with the encoding of that file that's not compatible. The trials and tribulations with running proprietary codecs on an open source machine. Pshaw!
