Hi,
I just installed splashutills/gensplash using genkernel and wheel isn't workig now. Mouse works just fine - only the wheel not. I checked xorg.conf and mouse section looks untouched (I think everything in that file is like it was before that install).
Any ideas?

My guess is genkernel changed something in your kernel.
These packages shouldn't effect the mouse.
Does | Code: | | cat /dev/input/mice |
produce and output when you move the scroll mouse? |

I tried

and no output when moving the wheel. I think you're right about the kernel. I'll check it out.
