I've got a probably simple problem on one of my machines. When I, as root, add a printer using the KDE Control Center, it's only accesible to root. The printer works printing from root, but users can't access the printer, and it doesn't show up in any of the print dialogs in KDE.
This sounds like a simple case of configuring access, but I'm totally lost figuring out where. In the properties tab for the printer, I've tried explicitly giving access to the wanted user. No luck.
Any ideas? |

cant remember exactly how to do it through KDE (havn't used it for a while), but you want to open the "Configure Server" box. somewhere in there, there is a way to change permissions of the classes, and thus you can allow users/groups access to printers. anyone able to go into more specifics? |
