While trying to upgrade cups to 1.1.23-r4 i noticed the emerge listed Xorg-X11 as a dependancy, can anyone shed any light on to why this is and a work around.
I tried blocking Xorg-X11 but the emerge complained.
Cups is running on a server without X, and without the need for X.
Thanx in advance

Thx for the response,
The "problem" is moving to the external xpdf aplication. This is what is asking for Xorg-X11. So i guess its a wait till they fix the internal xpdf code in cups
Thanx again

edit: The adding -motif to xpdf in pakages.use did the trick _________________ I guess you could call the belief in sharing of knowledge a philosophy, but I just think it's a fact, It's what differentiates science from alchemy or witchcraft.
