Canon PIXMA iP1600

There is no driver for this Canon PIXMA ip1600. Is there any way to make it working on Linux? Please help me, I don't want to install windows ;/

An option would be to use Turboprint, but it costs money if you don't use the "basic" version.

Now turboprint support Canon PIXMA ip1600 but that cost ;/ Does someone know any free driver for this printer?

I'm Having the same problem, I also have a IP1600.

I read somewhere that a ip2200 driver will do, but I don't knw how to get that either

Hi!!
i have just installed the IP2200 driver as described on Gento-wiki ( Black Zer0 read this to install driver http://gentoo-wiki.com/Canon_pixma_series ) but when i run cups the pc doesn't detect any usb printers and in avaible ports i have only SCSI... i tried to use SCSI but the printer doesn't work...

How can i do?

why my pc doesn't detect any usb printer??
