I can't for the life of me figure out why this isn't working correctly. version 4.4.3 installs perfectly and so does everything else. anything above tells me I ran out of disk space or the file was somehow corrupted during download. Please try again
letting cedega (point2play) download and install:
Code: | OSError: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted: '/tmp/cedega-engine-5.0.3-1.i386.cpkg.21970'
tar: manifest: Cannot open: File exists
tar: cedega_5.0.3-1.i386.p2p.tgz: Cannot open: File exists
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors |
trying to install local update:
Code: | OSError: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted: '/tmp/cedega-engine-5.0.3-1.i386.cpkg.21970' |

hi,
it's a known bug. It has to do with the manifest file...maybe it exists in /tmp or somewhere else? try removing it and install again. Or update to 5.0.2 or 5.0.3. |

cedega is at 5.0.1 and cedega-engine is at 5.0.3
any of the cedega-engine 5x won't install. _________________ AMD 3000+ xp-m (133@16.5 default) 190x11.5, 1024mb ram, geforce 6600GT @ 580/1090 |

I don't know about what stahlsau said, but I had several problems when I tried to install the cedega-engine.
At some point, my /tmp permissions got screwed up (not sure why or how).
After doing
Everything went back to normal.
So, make sure you have rwx for ugo and the sticky bit, too. That is,
Code: | # stat /tmp
File: `/tmp'
...
Access: (1777/drwxrwxrwt)
... |

I have no clue what this could be, note this works perfect in my ~x86 environment _________________ AMD 3000+ xp-m (133@16.5 default) 190x11.5, 1024mb ram, geforce 6600GT @ 580/1090 |
