|

Hi, I have a couple questions about sound.
(And I'm more-or-less clueless about it. )
Is it possible to play sounds from more than one program at once? I've heard of somethign like a sound daemon or soemthing, but... how do you mess with that?
Also,
My brother likes to use the computer with the sound muted, but that seems to be a global setting. Is it possible to have adjustments made per-user? Or maybe some command to turn the sound on in .bashrc?
Thanks! _________________ Dnas

If you want to put something in your .bashrc, check out amixer. It's a command line version of alsamixer (or alsamixer is a ncurses version of amixer... I'm not sure). |
