Here's the deal, I have an old Compaq Armada 7400 laptop and I've got a Microsoft MN-120 network card for it. I'm trying to get it working, but can't quite seem to get it.
I need to recompile the TULIP driver in order to get it going. Already edited the tulip-core.c file. I've tried several times to compile it into the kernel with no luck, or maybe I'm just missing a step.
I have installed (2005.1 Universal) without networking support since I knew I was going to need to do some work, but I can't seem to figure out how to get that driver recompiled, added to the kernel and finally enable networking.
It's a PCMCIA card and I'm trying to use gentoo-sources. Rigt now I have a booting laptop but eth0 fails on startup. eth0 does not exist.
Any thoughts? |
