Hi all.
My gentoo's hdd has no enough space.
I need to move /usr, /var to another partition (on another hdd)
Can I just use Code: | cp -apR /usr.old /usr.new | ?
Can I just copy these dir to new partition and edit /etc/fstab ?
any problem should I notice ?
thank you very much

yes but make sure no processes are runnign that use anything on /usr or /var.
In practise that means to do this copying in single-user mode. if you don't know how to do that i recommend you search this forum or gentoo-wiki |
