Does anyone know if there is a graphical tool for extracting/view/adding to war and jar files?

| IIRC jar and war files are just plain zip files. So you should be able to open them with something like Ark. |

HI thanks for the info,
KDE Explorer can open jar files but seems to have a problem with war files. It complains about not being able to find the index.html. Maybe this is just for the struts war files. I will check on other war files later. index.html pages are not required of war files though. |
