|
|
I just installed gentoo.
My grub menu is scrambled and looks very bad. I can't make out what it says.
Then when gentoo loads and the init stuff comes, the text is still scrambled.
Halfway through the init, the text gets normal.
How do I fix this and why does it do so?

Hi.
You're probably having a problem with the GRUB splash screen. You should comment the splash= line to check that out and if that is the source of the problem, make sure that you're trying to use a proper grub splash image. _________________ Jorge.

Probably need to look at your framebuffer and console options as well. |

Thanks!
I had the splash screen pointing to the wrong place.
I didn't install /boot on the same disk as I have grub in the MBR. This got me confused. |
