Hi,
I have a external Firewire 400 harddrive which needs SCSI Emulation among other thing to be mounted. I also have normal CD/DVD RW drive but I want to use it with the ide_cd module. Problem is that when I have the SCSI Emulation enabled from the kernel it uses the CD/DVD RW drive with the SCSI Emulation and gets recognized as sg0. How can I prevent it from happening becouse the drive worked so well with the ide_cd. _________________ :: Terho Tanskanen

Hi
You can try this.
In grub.conf on the kernel line add 'hdc=ide-cd' if your CD/DVD is hdc. |

That worked like a charm. Thank you, oh so very much. :) _________________ :: Terho Tanskanen
