|
|
Hey guys, I'm using wine-20050930, and I've got Rosetta Stone / Russian working. In the list of lessons, the Cyrillic characters show up correctly. But in the lessons themselves, it's just garbled ASCII--English characters that don't make any sense.
I've got the cronyx fonts installed, but can't find a way to hook them into Wine. Most of the messages about this suggest putting them in the config file, but I don't seem to have one. Where would this file be? It's certainly not in ~/.wine.
Cheers,
John |

The config file is no longer used, you could add these fonts to user.reg or system.reg I think. It may also work when just copying the fonts into ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts.

The issue, though, is that it's looking for some normal windows font like arial in cyrillic (which I believe is stored on the same TTF, but the copies that come with wine apparently don't all have it). Thus I could do all the copying I want, but it wouldn't know to look at the cronyx fonts. =) |
