|
|
When using Gentoo Firefox 1.0.7 to download Sun's j2sdk-1_4_2_10-linux-i586.bin AFTER ACCEPTING THE EULA... the resultant file download is EXACTLY 15 bytes long.
The content of the file is:
'File not found."
Now, what did I do wrong?
UPDATE: Sun Support replied via email that there was trouble at their FTP/HTTP file server (date: Dec 29 22:39 GMT) _________________ Clusters of Fry's Special, AMD 2200, 2 GB DDR, 220 GB (2008.1/desktop, stage 1, -O3) x8

probably nothing, looks like a error on the website, not your browser.
Try again on another day/time. |

Of course, this emerge package is a "F" where one has to download the file due to some web site/EULA restrictions which neccesitate an end-user's click to 'agree.'
The file was ABOUT to be placed into the /usr/portage/distfiles, before I noticed it was only 15 byte in size.
Anyway... This is SOLVED. Sun Site reported via email to me that there is trouble with their FTP/HTTP server. _________________ Clusters of Fry's Special, AMD 2200, 2 GB DDR, 220 GB (2008.1/desktop, stage 1, -O3) x8
