identd

hey, this is getting quite annoying, i need to get identd to work for irc.
i emerged linux-identd and then did rc-update add identd defaults and ident now loads fine however its still not responding, yes i opened port 113 on the router. can someone please give me some ideas.

i dunno what the problem is but try "oidentd" instead

it always works right off the emerge...no config neccessary

Any clues as to what's going on in your log files? What errors do you get when you start identd?
