Gentoo on an NCD Explora 700

Ok, so I have this NCD Explora 700 xterm thin client that I would like to use. I just don't feel like shelling out $1k for the software that NCD created to go with the xterm. I was wondering if anyone has cross-compiled a kernel that successfully ran on this?

These are the specs that I know:
R4700 mips64 processor @ 150 MHz
S3 Trio64V2/DX video chip
128 MB RAM
2 MB Video RAM

The things I don't know:
motherboard chpset
ethernet chipset

If anyone knows any of this, I would greatly appreciate the info.
