Hi,

I've got a Nikom d70s (wooohoo) which I would like to mount on my Linux system.
It now automatically mounts on /media/LEXAR_MEDIA
how could I change that to my own taste?
Thanks in advance!

No, I don't think so. Because the mountpoint is auto-generated by hal, so if you change it in /etc/fstab, it will be overwritten.
I think it's somewhere in the hal configuration files, but I don't know where.

the easiest way is to change the volume name of the memory card, because by default hal gives the partition name to the mount point. if you want something more fancy you have to create your rule in /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty/. first take a look at the files in 10osvendor for the examples.
best regards
