is it possible to install gentoo from my kubuntu desktop, because i am using ndiswrapper for my internet connection, which is something that i cant do on the gentoo live CD... i dont really know how to explain this, but i would like to install from inside the KDE environment, at least for the first steps, and i need to rollover my internet connection... jeez.... this is harder to explain than i thought!, well, i guess my point is, can this be done? |

Well, the best chance you would have is to burn a Knoppix CD and do it from there. There are plently of guides on how to do it from knoppix on the forums and on the wiki. Also, Knoppix has Madwifi and Ndiswrapper already installed. _________________ Registered Linux User #387568

Have a look in the (installation) doco section for the alternate installation howto - covers this as one of the options. |

If you don't need to resize disk partitions you can skip all but the last paragraph, which sends you to the handbook. _________________ Adopt an unanswered post
