pppd & wvdial, works but spewls out lots of no carrier mesg.

When i dial in with wvdial, it connects, then it hands it off to pppd, which then negorate connection with the ISP, and it works, i can ping websites, i can download files, and so forth. but however pppd spewls a ton of "no carrier" messages on each other line.

for example:

connects
no carrier error
give login name
no carrier error
give password
no carrier error
gets dns
no carrier errors


so i'm wondering how i can get rid of the "no carrier" errors because theyre geting alittle annonying and indicates that there is some sort of configation problems somewhere, but i haven't had any luck tracking down where it may be, and the connection still works.
