I have a Gravis GamePad Pro Eliminator series, I can play Mario Kart for hours on that thing! It also works in zsnes, epsxe, gens, but I can't get it to work with fceultra. Either way it's a good pad. Also, my buddy bought a remote at Wal-Mart called game-elements recoil pad. That one works perfectly in linux. It gets detected as Jess-Tech. Be careful with the udev rules. |

I can highly recommend the Saitek P880 Dual Analog. It's a good value and works great in Linux: plug n play. The "shift" button is a special driver thing and not supported in Linux or in Windows by default, but the regular 10 buttons are plenty for anything I need in XMAME.
It's easy to hit diagonals with the D-Pad on the Saitek, but the D-Pad is a major bitch about the Logitech gamepad. Something to think about if you are a big emu player. |

I use a Playstation Dual Shock Controller with a PSX->USB Adaptor gotten for $10 at Radio Shack. _________________ Gentoo: Stage3 w/ NPTL & udev, gcc 3.4.4 full rebuild

second the playstation dual shock with radio shack or smartjoy adapter. very responsive, highly durable, and ergonomic. plus you can use that adapter to hook up ps1 or 2 arcade sticks, some of which are made with all sanwa parts and are very high quality and not too expensive. |

Nice tip on the smartjoy adapter as I didn't realise it was so easy to go from Playstation -> USB. In the faq they even mention that the SmartJoy Plus works in Linux. Even with the extra cost of an adaptor, a PS2 Dual Shock controller is hard to beat.
They also sell an adaptor for SNES -> USB. |
