Hi, after I updated my Gentoo with --deep world, I have encountered a problem with normal users starting X server. When I type startx (as normal user), my screen goes blank. I can't get back to console by pressing CTRL+ALT+backspace nor with CTRL+ATL+F1/F2.. The three finger salute works and reboots the system tough. With root X works just fine.
It doesn't matter which environment I try to start, KDE and Enlightenment both give the same result, so the problem is with X. This could have something to do with my ATI drivers, which were updated with my world update. |

Take a look in /etc/group.
