I hope you are aware that gentoo is a "build from source" distro, which means that you compile all your software on your box instead of using binaries. And this definately takes its time! |

I know, but I had no HDD activity and I restarted, now I'am from links and emerging kde.. Now I see that it realy compiling. Perhaps there will not be any error while installing. |

The graphical installer is wonky. The way you are progressing now is the better way of installing Gentoo. |
