Installation issues

I hope someone can help with this. I've tried to install Gentoo, too many times, and get different errors after the kernel is compiled. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've even gone as far as using every variable that the installation guide provides and the installation still fails. Is the installation failing at this point due to hardware? This has me stumped. Thanks!

Maybe could you give examples of the errors your getting?

Is it the kernel compilation that is actually failing (ie the "make && make modules_install") step, or is it booting into te kernel that is leading to the trouble?

And of course you could also try to compile your kernel with genkernel and manually tweak it later on.
