I am thinking about switching to Gentoo, but before I do, I would like to know if there is a WINE that works with Gentoo. If so, can someone give me a link to the download?
searched google and found nothing that would answer this qestion. . . |

WINE works with Gentoo, but let me make sure you know this. WINE does not work consistently. It has recently entered beta is starting to gain some semblance of continuity between releases, but don't expect to be able to run just any Windows program on it. It works with Office, Flash, IE and some other stuff, but some releases are unable to do all of these. In Gentoo (as in most Linux distributions), we use a package manager, so you wouldn't just download WINE, you would install it by running as root (the administrator). For more information on WINE, visit http://www.winehq.com/.
For a more stable, consistent, and supported version of WINE, I reccomend you look into the (non-free) Crossover Office
EDIT: Spelling bugging me...
