I followed the guide at http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Install_GoogleEarth_with_wine but I get this error when trying to start Google Earth.

Just to say that I'm getting the same error - latest version of wine. _________________ Like the Roman, I seem to see "the River Tiber foaming with much blood" |

Same here, wine 0.9.5-r1.
Which version of xorg are you using? I`m on 7.0, maybe this is the problem..?

Same problem w/today's wine 0.9.8. There's a 0.9.8-r1 but I don't think it'll make a difference...
