First off new user.....but have friend to help :D

I have troubleshooted for my networkcard but gentoo will not reconize......could someone post a link were i could get a driver for it and how to install it.

I am useing intergrated intel 10/100 network card on the P4P800-VM asus MOBO

If it is Intel, then it uses the e100 driver, most likely. In "make menuconfig", type:
Code:
/e100

And the 3rd search result should give you instructions on where to find it.

Ya did e100 but i did not work....

the boot disk of x86 full(not the minimal) had the drivers....but that has way to much anyways...........a outside 3party link for the driver would be good

Such things are very rare. 1000 to 1 you just need to type `lsmod' to see what modules the livecd loaded, and be sure to compile that into your kernel when you configure it later in the installation.

you definatley just need the e100 driver, if you compile it as a module you will need to add e100 to your modules autoload file.
