Hi,
ich habe den vlc-0.8.4a aus dem unstable Zweig kompiliert, mit skins2 Flag. Sieht ja nett aus, aber ich kann keine Menüs öffnen, rechte Maustaste auf den Player führt zu nix, der Preferences Button funktioniert auch nicht. Wenn ich vlc über die Konsole starte, erhalte ich dann folgende Fehlermeldung:
| Code: | [00000267] skins2 interface error: No suitable dialogs provider found (hint: compile the wxWidgets plugin, and make sure it is loaded properly)

Ihm fehlt also das wxWidgets Plugin ? Ich hab wxGTK aus dem stable Pfad einmal so
x11-libs/wxGTK-2.6.1 -debug -doc -gnome +gtk2 -joystick -odbc +opengl +sdl +unicode +wxgtk1
und einmal so kompiliert
x11-libs/wxGTK-2.6.1 -debug -doc -gnome +gtk2 -joystick -odbc +opengl +sdl +unicode -wxgtk1
Danach nochmal vlc jeweils neu, führte aber nicht zum Erfolg.
Weiß jemand Rat ?

Problem ist gelöst!
Für den neuen vlc 0.8.4a aus dem unstable Zweig sollte man wohl mindestens wxGTK 2.6.2 haben, also (zur Zeit) auch aus dem unstable Zweig.
Damit startet VLC erstmal zwar standardmässig mit dem wxWidgets Interface, während er bei einer wxGTK 2.6.1 Installation direkt im Skins2 Interface gestartet ist (bei mir jedenfalls), aber man kann die Interfaces switchen unter Einstellungen -> Interface wechseln. Die Menüs/Preferences bleiben dann im wxWidgets Look erhalten, aber man kann nun die wirklich netten Skins für den Player nutzen.
In der Konsole gibts nun auch keine Fehlermeldungen mehr.
