Hi all,
Im trying to get Klaptop running, and it appears to work ok after i enabled the deprecated /proc/acpi/sleep in the kernel, but fails to resume after hibernate. Whether i run it by closing the lid or executing from the console it freezes with some "trackpoint firmware" msg.
If i take /proc/acpi/sleep back out of the kernel I can run the script again and it resumes nicely, but of course this means I no longer have Klaptop acpi functionality.
Im working on a Thinkpad T42, have followed the power management guide and am happy with everything except Klaptop and /proc/acpi/sleep
Does anyone have any idea what may be the problem, and how to solve it?
thanks! |

Well, i'd not come across the 2nd link, but i will definately go over it. thanks.
Like i said above theough, i have everythng working fine. Suspend to disk, and RAM both work if i DO NOT use /proc/acpi/sleep -- if i enable it, and try to use hibernate, it crashes on resume |

afaik /proc/acpi/sleep is deprecated so you'll eighter need to patch the klaptop daemon or upgrade to kde 3.5. |
