Cant do the "emerge sys-kernel/gentoo-sources"

it says something like "checking depencis couldn't find path"

have followed the instructions

I had the same problem. I was using Stage 3, and the directions said that emerge rsync was optional. However, if you want to do emerge gentoo-sources, you Must first do rsync.

So, try doing emerge rsync first, and then you should be good to go.
