When I wath a movie with MPlayer or VLC, when I play Quake3, Enemy Territory. Sound comes to late for about 1s That is really anoying. What can I do? The kernel is genkernel-2.6.15 |

Provide details, such as sound card model. Do you have a ~/.asoundrc |

No, I don't have that file. Sound card is:
00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02) |

You may need to use dmix (see section "The simple approach"). _________________ Improve your font rendering and ALSA sound |

Well that didnt worked out. There should be a simpler way to do this. Last time when I had Gentoo everything was OK. :\ Maybe it's sound cards module fault?
Maybe you could also help me with surround sound? I can't get is working. I unmuted everything with alsamixer. |
