Hey gentoo folks.
When Im using gnome-meeting (setted up to use alsa), there is no sound in enemy territory:
Code: |
------- sound initialization -------
/dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
Could not open /dev/dsp
|
But hmm, I thought it was possible using alsa, while using oss-emulation? I mean. Should oss-emu work while the alsa module is used?
Any solution to this? |

The funny part is. That xmms has no problem using alsa AND oss, while gnomemeeting is running.
Its just arts (which I think enemy territory use with oss), which cannot be activated. So could it be arts, which wants fully control over /dev/dsp?
anyone have any ideas? or solutions.
btw I gave arts administrative priviligies, so it had fully control over soundcard. (It recommented it, itself when I installed it.) |

I found out of something more.
If I deactivate full duplex setting in arts, it can be activated.
So I wonder. Can't I have two program running at same time at full duplex? It is why et won't run with sound? Does it has to have full duplex? |
