I bought Acer travelmate 4052Lci (almost the same as 4050)
every thing is working fine and well recognized by the kernel
except 2 things
1- Bluetooth and Infrared

I think I fixed the infra problem but since I don't have infraDevice I am not sure If it really works or not :D
Now the big problem (BlueTooth)
I tried
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/bluetooth-guide.xml
and
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-194183-highlight-bluetooth.html
and others using google

I configure the kernel as they say - reboot - make sure all modules are loaded
then I try
cat /proc/bus/usb/devices | grep -i Cls=e0
the result is nothing
dmesg| grep -i blue
the result is also nothing
lsusb gives me nothing but my wireless keyboard

I am sure my bluetooth device works fine, cause it worked fine on Windows XP (before I format it and use its patition for portage :D )

So can i do?
there is no way to get my bluetooth work under linux  ?
Do I have to install windows on 5GB of my 40GB H.D. to get the bluetooth to work????

Please help me.

Maybe there is a button to enable/disable bluetooth, and the device only appears after the button is pressed ?

Yes there is and I kept it on durning all of that
but in the other hand the same button also turn my wifi on and off
but the kernel detect my wifi even when the button is off
not only that but also the kernel can determine the button status (off or on)

while it is on
Code:

me@localhost ~ $ iwconfig
lo        no wireless extensions.

eth0      no wireless extensions.

eth1      unassociated  ESSID:off/any
          Mode:Managed  Channel=0  Access Point: Not-Associated
          Bit Rate=0 kb/s   Tx-Power=20 dBm
          RTS thr:off   Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off
          Link Quality:0  Signal level:0  Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0  Rx invalid crypt:0  Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0  Invalid misc:0   Missed beacon:0

while it is off
Code:

me@localhost ~ $ iwconfig
lo        no wireless extensions.

eth0      no wireless extensions.

eth1      unassociated  ESSID:off/any
          Mode:Managed  Channel=0  Access Point: Not-Associated
          Bit Rate=0 kb/s   Tx-Power=off
          RTS thr:off   Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off
          Link Quality:0  Signal level:0  Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0  Rx invalid crypt:0  Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0  Invalid misc:0   Missed beacon:0

but in all cases i keep it on while i am trying to configure my bluetooth

wait i found something interesting
Code:

localhost / # dmesg |grep -i blue
Bluetooth: Core ver 2.7
Bluetooth: HCI device and connection manager initialized
Bluetooth: HCI socket layer initialized
Bluetooth: HCI USB driver ver 2.9

but still
cat /proc/bus/usb/devices | grep -i Cls=e0
produce no result :(

Does it make any sense?

Ok my Bluetooth device is working properly now
U wonder how, I will tell you

U was right when u said that my bluetooth is turned off
Yes it was turned off but i didn't know that simply because there was no button to turn it on or off
after getting tired of searching/asking for help I decided to reinstall WinDos "sorry guys  "

Anyway after i installed it I opened the travelmate manager and turned the bluetooth on
Yes, using my mouse

Now I am in a big trouble
when I turn it on from windows and restart to linux the kernel detect my bluetooth
But I don't know how to turn it on from linux
I think it is something in the BIOS but when i tried to configure my BIOS (F2) nothing related to the bluetooth

How DO i turn my bluetooth on from linux?

I can turn my bluetooth on/off using the following steps:
1:emerge acerhk
2:modprobe acerhk force_series=4050
3:echo on > /proc/driver/acerhk/blueled
Thats all, Enjoy
