hello
i know this ia just to n00bish. but i need help with how to sett up paswd on the live cd, so i can su to root and make a net install.

Usually it starts as root account.
All you need to do is set the root password so you can use ssh to log in. (restart sshd after setting password)
(I'm assumming that's what you mean by net-install) |

Hello
Thanks for your reply, i am on the cd with the new installer. my problem was how to su to root in terminal.
now i am haf way in a 1/3 install.
