Hello,
I guess the topic line describes my problem already very well. I don't use gnome but I do use some of it's applications like Nautilus for example. When I click on "Computer" in Nautilus I can see my cdrom drive, usb flash drive, etc. but these items don't show up in the sidepanel of the gtk/gnome filechooser. I've just seen a screenshot and wondered why it doesn't look the same here. Do I need to start some background gnome application? Or do I have to build gtk(?) with a special use flag? Thanks!
Bye!

I'm just guessing, but maybe gnome-vfs has to be installed? |

I think so, but I have it already installed...
[edit]
answer to my own question... an entry in $HOME/.gtkrc-2.0 does the trick.
Code: | gtk-file-chooser-backend = "gnome-vfs" |
