In perviouse versions of KDE I could add users to the LOGIN WINDOW (the one that looks like Windows XP).

Now I'm using KDE 3.5 and created users with"KUser", however they don't appear in the login window, although I can type the name and passoword to login.

In "KDE Login Manager" the new users don't appear as well!

It must be easy, what do I have to do?

Thanks

Control Center -> System Administration -> Login Manager, under the Users tab

The problem is that the new users don't appear there.

What do I need to do?

They should show up, perhaps the UIDs are being filtered out as the default setting only shows from 1000-65000. Check the new users UIDs and reset the display filter accordingly and they should show.

Yes, the problem was the UID.

KUsers created the users with ID 500 and 501.
If I type add an user using the shell with "useradd" the user has an UID of 1001 and appear.

So then I used KUsers to update the UID to a higher number.

Thanks
