Tape backup options

I have searched and just haven't found the best option on this. I have need to setup
a tape backup system. I am looking for recommendations for both hardware and software
It needs to be able to be controlled fully by Gentoo, and it needs to be able to do full backups
of 200Gb+ as well as daily incremental backups. Any help on this would be greatly
appreciated.

I have recently switch to using bacula. It is a full featured backup program that should meet your needs.
